From pessa to macra via aramola

The route leads through various beech woods and abandoned villages to the picturesque landscape of Celle Macra, the village of the anchovy makers.

Starting from the car park near the junction for Paschero di Stroppo and Elva, a mule track starts in the direction of Pessa (902 m). It runs parallel to the road to Pessa , crosses it and then descends towards the river. Cross the stone bridge and continue to Amarola (1303 m). At the Maurengo crossroads, keep to the left to reach Colletto, where the descent begins. When you reach Serremorello (1332 m), take the path below the church and continue downhill towards Macra following the Occitan Paths route.
