In the mountains of Cartignano and Saretto

In the mountains of Cartignano and Saretto

Path that crosses woods and ancient villages in the footsteps of the partisans.

Starting from the car park in front of the municipality of Cartignano, first follow the tarmac road and then the mule track to the church of Santa Cristina. From here, leave aside the road leading to the hamlet of Copetto and follow the path towards Ruà del Prato. After passing the houses, the route continues past a cave and the ruins of Saretto, to proceed towards Colle Teje. Shortly before it, leave the path and take the branch-off to the right, through the beech trees, which first leads to Messore and then continues in the direction of Cartignano, flanking the charming castle and the banks of the Maira river.
