Exhibition of sacred art in the Brotherhood

Even simply crossing the Maira Valley, the wealth of sacred art stands out: churches, convents, votive chapels accompany the landscape.

Could a museum completely dedicated to this topic be missing?

The permanent exhibition of Sacred Art is located in Dronero and is housed in the premises of the Confraternity of the Disciplinati, later known as the Confraternity of the Gonfalone and also ‘Crusà‘ for the uniform of its founders: white surplice with cross.

You will discover a rich and interesting exhibition testifying to the life and work of the brothers over the centuries. Its premises house furnishings, trousseaus, sacred instruments, objects of religious life, canvases and paintings from the 19th century, altar panels and altarpieces, and the complete collection of the order’s documents and even the registers of the brothers and sisters.

Discover for yourself what it means to be part of a confraternity, visit the exhibition.
