Parete del Maurin (Alpine and Multipitch Routes)

Beautiful quartzite wall polished by the ancient glacier. It presents excellent quality rock, with many slab pitches, but there is no shortage of cracks and small overhangs.
The site has been enhanced and equipped by climber Ivo Barbarito assisted by other companions, and the routes are not very long (5 pitches in general) allowing a pleasant and well bolted climb.
The altitude and exposure (southeast) make it a suitable place in the summer period.
To date we find about ten routes, including a very long one, divided into two sections, which remains further to the right than the main wall (Orange Line).
The wall is located just before Colle Maurin at an elevation of about 2600 m, and the environment is typical of high mountain landscapes, that is, grasslands and large spaces surrounded by imposing mountains.
Access is from Chiappera, after which, continue in the direction of Grange Russet for a few km on a dirt road. Park just before the hairpin bends near some ruins on your right. Take a little further on a path that goes up to the Grange Russet. From there follow first the dirt road and then the marked trail to the Colle Maurin. After passing Lago della Sagna (Sagna Lake), bend left and take the path to the base of the wall, now clearly visible. About 1.30h from the car.
