Le Madamè

FIRST APPOINTMENT OF THE 9TH CINE&MUSIC FESTIVAL AND… AT THE UPPER MAIRA VALLEY ECOMUSEUM with a concert by “LE MADAME’” Sunday, July 12 in Elva

First appointment of the 11th CINE&MUSIC FESTIVAL AND….. AT THE UPPER MAIRA VALLEY ECOMUSEUM, with a concert by the musical group LE MADAME’ to be held on Sunday, JULY 12 at 2:30 PM in Elva, in the main village of Borgata Serre.

Once again this year, the program of the Festival, now in its 9th edition, offers a rich lineup of 10 events including live concerts, musical events, and film screenings aimed at children, teenagers, young people, and families.

The events transform the valley’s picturesque villages and Alpine landscapes into an open-air stage, offering residents and visitors an immersive cultural experience that combines the promotion of the territory with the creation of shared moments for local communities.

The use of the Ecomuseum’s sites as locations for some events blends artistic content with the material history of the places.

Le Madamé are an all-female Piedmontese musical group, born in the Langhe and the Cuneo valleys, composed of four musicians who sing in harmony accompanied by accordions, guitar, and percussion.

Their repertoire offers an intense journey through Italian folk music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, bringing back to light traditional songs, work songs, and songs of emigration, resistance, and brigands.

Through original arrangements, their performances offer a contemporary reinterpretation of collective memory, alternating sweet and introspective ballads with traditional dances full of rhythm and overwhelming energy.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Elva and the Pro Loco La Deseno di Elva.

Participation in the event is free of charge.

The initiative is part of the project Participatory experiences of the Upper Maira Valley Ecomuseum territory, funded by the CRT Foundation through the Ordinary Grants Call, and the project Educational paths & workshops of the Upper Maira Valley Ecomuseum funded by the CRC Foundation through the General Call.
