Bordiga Music Festival

Bordiga Music Festival

Event on Sunday, August 2: Borgata Serre will transform into a grand stage of music and nature with John Birks Orchestra and Matteo Brancaleoni

Music, nature, and joy. These are the three ingredients that will bring the Bordiga Music Festival to life in Elva, the small but charming village in the Upper Maira Valley that will host the highlight event of the summer on Sunday, August 2. Musical notes will blend with the renowned cocktails from the Bordiga distillery, which since 1888 has been exporting the authentic flavors of Granda worldwide with its famous Vermouth, bitters, and fine alpine elixirs.

Complementing the musical event and making the day even more enjoyable will be lunch prepared by the Proloco. In addition to the Bordiga distillery, the event is promoted by La Locanda and RerumNatura.

The center of the show will be at Borgata Serre, which will transform into a grand stage of entertainment with free admission. For more information, please contact 0171611091.

The day starts at its peak, with the first event at 10:30 AM featuring the itinerant concert in Borgata Serra by the John Birks Orchestra. Directed by Pietro Distefano, it is an ensemble of nine musicians that combines the energy of a village band with the sophistication of jazz, traversing Latin, soul, choro, and Brazilian samba sounds.

Afternoon music starting at 5:30 PM with Matteo Brancaleoni Sextet – “La dolce vita”. His notes will fill Elva, launching a show that is a journey through swing, great international classics, and Italian songs from the golden age.

“It will be a pleasant day to enjoy in good company – emphasizes Elva’s mayor Claudio Arneodo – with the right mix of beautiful music, entertainment, and the good local food prepared by the tireless volunteers of the Proloco. All in the beautiful setting of Elva, a small municipality that has much to offer even to those discovering it for the first time.”
