On the sunny slopes of Acceglio and Prazzo

From the car park in Colombata di Acceglio, walk towards the valley of the Mollasco stream and after a quarter of an hour cross the stream and continue first towards Grangia Durazza Sottano, then towards Grangia Serri Sottano. Climb the hairpin bends leading to Colle Sarasin, from where you can enjoy an amazing panorama of some of the peaks of the Maira Valley, including the iconic Monte Oronaye and Monte Freid. We descend towards Grange Chioligiera and take a mule track to reach the village of Ussolo, where some scenes of Giorgio Diritti’s famous film “Il vento fa il suo giro” were filmed. From here you descend towards your destination, Prazzo Superiore .
