Camoglieres Crag

The Camoglieres site, named after the hamlet, is a collection of crags nestled in a beautiful valley, scenic, sunny, and peaceful. South and southeast exposure at an elevation of 1,100 m. Here you climb on good gray/white limestone, often on edges and pockets where technique is key, although there are also more athletic routes.
Going up the Maira Valley, shortly after the village of Lottulo, turn right and continue climbing briefly to the hamlet of Camoglieres, where you can park near the Locanda del Silenzio.
You can choose from 4 sectors: the Classic (or Historic), reached by following the Cyclamen Trail for about ten minutes, the Ferrata sector located right at the base of the via ferrata itself (5 minutes from the hamlet), the Butterfly Wall, a few minutes to the left of the previous one (rock not always good), and finally the Mad Hatter sector, small but interesting, located higher up, reached in about 20 minutes on a steep trail (the sector is found by leaving the trail on the left to follow a short track).
The Camoglieres area is ideal in spring and fall but also on nice winter days, being a decidedly sheltered and warm location. Not recommended on hot summer days. Good bolting with expansion bolts and grades ranging from 4 to 7c for a total of about 70 pitches. Also worth noting is the presence of some multi-pitch bolted routes, from 3 to 5 pitches of rope located closer to the Ferrata and Mad Hatter sectors: to mention one… “La crota dal Rancin.”
