Film Forum for Children, Families and Adults Sunday, June 21 in Celle di Macra with the film “THE CALL OF THE WILD”
Sunday, June 21 at 9:00 PM appointment with the Film Forum for children, families and adults in Celle di Macra with the screening of the film “THE CALL OF THE WILD” in the Cultural Lab hall in Borgata Chiesa.
The film tells the story of Buck, a large and lively domestic dog who lives a comfortable life in California at the end of the 1800s. The large dog Buck lives on a judge’s farm.
Kidnapped to be sold as a sled dog for the Klondike gold prospectors, Buck finds himself in Alaska, locked in a cage and trained in the law of the club.
Purchased by a Frenchman who delivers mail to the gold prospectors’ outposts, he joins a dog team and in a short time, brave and powerful, becomes its leader.
However, when the postman loses his job, he is purchased by a fierce traveler seeking fortune. John Thornton, a hermit who proves to be Buck’s first true friend after such a long time, saves him from this sad fate.
Together they embark on a great adventure, venturing into the depths of the wilderness. It is here that the dog will feel the call of the wild most strongly. Nature calls him to itself and Buck cannot resist it.
He therefore becomes part of a pack of wolves, who live free, without a human master. However, he will never forget his affection for his elderly owner.
The event is organized by the Municipalities of Celle di Macra and Macra, in collaboration with the Ecomuseum of the Upper Maira Valley and the Pro Loco Seles.
