Film club for children and teenagers “IF” Friday, July 17 in Prazzo – 9th FILM & MUSIC FESTIVAL AND… AT THE UPPER MAIRA VALLEY ECOMUSEUM

The first event dedicated to children and families of the 9th FILM & MUSIC FESTIVAL AND….. AT THE UPPER MAIRA VALLEY ECOMUSEUM which offers a rich summer program, consisting of ten live cultural events across the 5 municipalities of the ecomuseum.

The program combines live concerts and outdoor film clubs within the ecomuseum sites, designed to entertain residents and tourists of all ages.

The free events will take place between July and August 2026 in the five charming mountain villages of Celle di Macra, Macra, Marmora, Prazzo, and Elva.

On Friday, JULY 17 at 9:00 PM, the screening of the film for children and families “IF” will be held in Prazzo Inferiore at the Hemp and Women’s Work Museum hall.

The film tells the story of Bea, a twelve-year-old girl who moves to her grandmother’s house in New York while her father is hospitalized.

During this time, she discovers she can see everyone’s imaginary friends, known as IFs, who have been left alone because they were forgotten by their now-grown creators.

Together with her neighbor Cal, who can also see the magical creatures, Bea founds a special agency. Along with Blue, a large furry monster, they commit to finding new children for the IFs or reuniting them with their old, now-adult friends.

This mission transforms Bea’s life, bringing joy and imagination where there was sadness. Through this incredible adventure, the girl and the people around her rediscover the hope needed to overcome dark moments.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Prazzo, the Chaliar Association, and the Prazzo Pro Loco.

Participation in the event is free of charge.

The initiative is part of the project Participatory experiences of the Upper Maira Valley Ecomuseum territory funded by the CRT Foundation through the Ordinary Grants Call, and the project Educational paths & workshops of the Upper Maira Valley Ecomuseum funded by the CRC Foundation through the General Call.
