Feast of Saint Anne 2026 in Castellaro

The charming village of Castellaro, in Celle di Macra, celebrates the traditional Feast of Saint Anne with a weekend full of events featuring culture, music, spirituality, and conviviality.

The event opens on Saturday, July 25, with a charity raffle, followed by a free concert by QuBa Libre, who will perform Occitan music for both listening and dancing. In the late afternoon, the program includes the presentation of the book Un calice di veleni by Lucia Berardi, a mystery novel set between Milan and the Maira Valley. The evening will conclude with the lighting of the traditional Lou Foulastret, the bonfire that once signaled the start of the festival to the valley residents.

On Sunday, July 26, the day will be dedicated to religious celebrations and local traditions, the procession accompanied by the Caraglio band, the traditional Cambio dell’Abbà, and, to conclude the festival, a snack open to all.

An opportunity to experience the ancient traditions of the Maira Valley firsthand, immersed in the authentic atmosphere of one of its most characteristic villages.
