Bivacco Barenghi

The bivouac dedicated to Beppe Barenghi, a Milanese mountaineer who died in 1954 on Mount Api, was inaugurated in 1958, restored and enlarged in 1984. It is located at an altitude of 2,815m.

The metal structure is covered with wood inside and is equipped with photovoltaic panels that generate electric lighting. The Vallonasso di Stroppia lake ensures the supply of water through an external fountain. The bivouac offers nine beds.
