Colle San Giovanni tour
Walk in the woods near the Marmora Valley.
The itinerary starts from Vernetti, where it climbs up to Borgata Superiore. From here, follow the Napoleonic Road, a dirt road that then turns into a path that allows you to reach Colle dell’Encucetta. From here you take a single trail up to a forest road. Arrived at the dirt road, follow it up to the driveway near Ponte Marmora. At the bridge after the town, follow a winter cross-country ski track that leads to Prazzo. At the second bridge, take a dirt road that leads to Colle San Giovanni. From the church starts a mule track that goes down to Canosio, where it is possible to return to Vernetti on asphalt.
