The Design of Footsteps… – Photographic Exhibition by Mario Bassi

From August 13 to 31, 2026, the Lazzaretto di Caudano Stroppo, in Valle Maira, hosts “The Design of Footsteps…”, a photographic exhibition by Mario Bassi, with the participation of Fred Bonon, artist-sculptor.

A journey through images that tell the story of traces left on the snow and across the landscape: the footsteps of animals, the imprints of people who over the centuries have lived and built the culture of the valley, and the light marks of the wanderer, in search of an ever deeper connection with the environment.

The exhibition invites visitors to observe Valle Maira through the theme of walking, traces, and the relationship between man and nature, celebrating the alpine landscape and the Occitan culture of the area.
