Officina Monviso 2026 – First outing in Cartignano

On Wednesday, July 1, the first outing of Officina Monviso 2026 will take place—a day dedicated to nature, discovering the local area, and sharing, organized by the volunteers of Officina Monviso in collaboration with the Valle Maira Tourism Consortium, the Municipality of Cartignano, and with the participation of the CAI Dronero Subsection.

The meeting point is in Cartignano, in the middle Valle Maira, meeting at 10:00 AM at the Salone Polivalente in via Copetto, where restrooms and a support point will be available throughout the day.

The excursion will begin at 10:30 AM, with the option to choose between two itineraries of different lengths and difficulty levels.

Participants will walk along a scenic stretch of the Sentiero dei Caprioli (Roe Deer Trail) and visit some of the characteristic hamlets of Cartignano, accompanied by a hiking guide.

Return is scheduled for 12:30 PM for a packed lunch. In the afternoon, it will be possible to relax in the surroundings and make use of the village bar, open for coffee and refreshments. The day will conclude at 3:00 PM with a farewell and an invitation to future outings.

The longer itinerary involves a loop trail of approximately 6 km, with an elevation gain of 250 meters and an estimated duration of 1 hour and 50 minutes, crossing through the hamlets of Galliana and Voli on the opposite side of the valley.

A day open to everyone to walk together, get to know the area, and experience Valle Maira in an atmosphere of inclusion, friendship, and sharing.
