In-person Occitan course 2026

This fall, the first-level in-person course in Alpine Occitan language and culture returns to Dronero, organized by Espaci Occitan and open to everyone, whether or not they reside in the Occitan Valleys, regardless of their level of knowledge of the Occitan language.

The course will be led by Rosella Pellerino, Scientific Director of Espaci Occitan, and will take place at the association’s premises, at Via Val Maira 19 in Dronero.

During the sessions, participants will start with the basics of the Occitan language, covering reading and writing, classical orthography, Escolo dóu Po, and conversation, through a practical and gradual approach.
