Lou Lindal – in Occitan “the threshold” is the gateway to the Gardetta plateau, with its incredible geological and natural heritage. Located in the Preit valley, the Refuge is an ideal starting point for numerous excursions of various lengths and difficulty levels.

Housed in the former rectory of the hamlet’s church, the facility offers double rooms, multiple rooms, and an 18-bed dormitory, all with en-suite bathrooms equipped with showers, and provides half-board or bed & breakfast service.
There is also a dining room and a welcoming café.

Rocca la Meja, the peaks of Cassorso and Cassin, Mount Giobert, the Lago Nero loop, and the traverse to Chialvetta via Colle di Soleglio Bue are just some of the excursions you can undertake during the summer season or on snowy winter days.

The refuge is a stop on the Percorsi Occitani, the circular trekking route that traverses the entire Valle Maira to discover nature, history, and art.
