(21) The Gardetta trail
Impressive tour from a scenic point of view, physically and technically medium challenging. The classic MTB trail in this fascinating area of the Maira Valley.
Possibility of refreshments at the Gardetta refuge. In some parts of the Tour you may have to push your bike.
Starting from Marmora, on asphalt roads, you proceed uphill to the 2,481 m of the Fauniera Pass. From there the route winds on dirt roads along the Gardetta Plateau, dominated by the summit of Rocca la Meja. Once at Colle del Preit, the route descends again on asphalt to the starting point along the charming valley of Canosio.
