Mount Rocceré tour

Mount Rocceré tour

This loop trail winds partly through the woods and partly along the mountain ridge, offering a wide view over the Cuneo plain and Roccerè.

The route starts from the Sant’Anna car park, passes the Partisan Hut and proceeds with a sustained climb towards the Colle della Ciabra, where turning right you soon reach the summit of Monte Roccerè (1829 m). From here, the route follows the ridge eastwards, passing the Grotta di Balmascura and continuing straight on to the tarmac road that leads from Valmala to Colle della Ciabra. At this point, take the path to the right that leads to Colle di Valmala. Once on the Colle, on the right, take the path that descends towards the Sellina bivouac and the Roccabruna hamlets. Just below the bivouac, you rejoin the Occitan Paths and, keeping to the right, return to Sant’Anna di Roccabruna.
