The hike starts above Viviere, where the asphalt road gives way to a dirt road. From here we continue to Prato Ciorliero, a plateau used as an alpine pasture and where there are still the remains of military shelters. The trail crosses the entire Calandra grange and gradually begins to climb the slope leading to the Gardetta pass. Once at the pass, a beautiful view opens up over the plateau of the same name: opposite is the majestic Rocca la Meja and, looking down, Rifugio Gardetta can be seen in the distance. At this point, keep to the left and follow the ridge line. At a certain point, leave the path that bends to the right and leads to Monte Cassorso and continue left to the summit of Bric Cassin.
