Musical performance by the group “ALNUS LYRA”

Saturday, April 25 in Macra during the musical walk along the Sentiero dei Ciclamini on the occasion of the Fiera di Sant Marcelin

On Saturday, APRIL 25 in MACRA, during the musical walk along the Sentiero dei Ciclamini, a musical performance will be presented by the group “ALNUS LYRA”, who will perform pieces of ancient and folk music.

Alnus Lyra is an artistic project dedicated to the performance of ancient and folk music, created by the group of the same name consisting of musicians Simone Bruno (Piedmontese bagpipes, percussion), Mario Cottura (hurdy-gurdy, lyre, flutes), and Floriano Brignone (flutes, bagpipes).

Using musical instruments inspired by iconography or derived from European and Eastern traditions, they offer songs and instrumental pieces, transporting the listener on a journey through time and space to rediscover ancient Occitan melodies.

Bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy, and flutes, with their archaic sounds, will lead the way along ancient paths—the same paths traveled for centuries by wandering musicians.

The musical walk, which will begin at 10:15 AM starting from Borgata Bedale in front of the Palatenda, is part of the program of events for the 178th Fiera di Sant Marcelin di Macra.

Participation in the event is free of charge.

The musical event, supported by the Municipalities of Macra and Celle di Macra and organized in collaboration with the Pro Loco Seles of Celle di Macra and the Ecomuseum of Upper Valle Maira, is part of the initiatives of the B.RI.C.A. Project: Resilient Villages of Cultural and Environmental Innovation, funded through the NRRP – Mission 1 – Component 3 – Culture 4.0 (M1C3). Measure 2 “Regeneration of small cultural sites, cultural, religious and rural heritage”, Investment 2.1: “Attractiveness of historic villages” – Intervention Line B
