FOREST THERAPY WORKSHOP
VALLE MAIRA REDISCOVERS WELL-BEING: THE 3RD PRACTICAL SESSION OF THE FOREST THERAPY WORKSHOP IN MARMORA PLANNED BY THE PROJECT RIATTIVAMENTI: TRADITIONAL CRAFTS AND YOUTH PARTICIPATION TO REVITALIZE VALLE MAIRA
On Saturday, July 18, from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Marmora will host the 3rd practical session of the FOREST THERAPY WORKSHOP, an initiative that combines psychophysical regeneration with the enhancement of Alpine areas.
The event is part of the broader project “RiattivaMenti: traditional crafts and youth participation to revitalize Valle Maira“, funded by the Piedmont Region through the Youth Policy Fund as part of the regional initiative “Piemonte per i Giovani” in accordance with Regional Law 6/2019.
Above 1,550 meters, amidst coniferous forests and vast landscapes, lies the ideal environment of a Valle Maira that becomes a substantial part of the practical activity, which consists of immersing oneself mindfully in the woods.
Far from the logic of mass tourism, the landscape of Marmora offers ideal conditions for the application of this discipline: a short walk where each participant’s attention is directed toward awareness and well-being, under the direction of psychotherapist Andrea Testa, assisted by hiking guide Demetrio Zema.
Participants will be guided through six stages of practical exercises – including breathing techniques, deep listening, and mindful walking – interspersed with silence and the therapeutic sounds of local streams.
At the end of the activity, an aperitif dinner will be served at the municipal venue.
The meeting point is in Macra, in Borgata Bedale, at 1:30 PM, in Piazza Municipio
Sportswear, trekking boots, and a mat are required.
Registration at 388.3704339 – Free participation
