Folk Up 2026 – Three days of music, dance, and folk culture in San Damiano Macra

From July 17 to 19, 2026, the heart of the Maira Valley hosts Folk Up 2026, a festival dedicated to the musical and choreographic traditions of European folk cultures. For three days, San Damiano Macra will come alive with dance workshops, balfolk concerts, and opportunities for meeting and sharing, open to enthusiasts, the curious, and dancers of all levels.

The program offers workshops dedicated to Gascon, Breton, Auvergne, Berry, and Po Valley dances, led by leading teachers and musicians from the folk scene. The evenings will be enlivened by concerts and dances featuring artists from various musical traditions.

Among the guests of the 2026 edition: Philippe Marsac, Flora Sarzotti, Mario Proietto, Sara Calandi, Quatrad Omeostatic Trio, Philippe Plard, Brotto & Milleret Duo, Enca’ Sonar, and Di Doux.

The event also includes a Free Camping area dedicated to participants and will take place even in the event of bad weather.

A unique opportunity to experience traditional music and dance in an authentic setting, immersed in the mountains of the Maira Valley.
