Colle del Maurin
A long but rewarding walk in front of Rocca Provenzale and Castello, symbols of the valley.
Starting from the refuge Campo Base, you leave the dirt roads of the pastures, to reach the hill at 2633 meters, on the border with France.
Walk through the Maira Valley to the last village of Chiappera, cross the village and turn left towards the Campo Base campsite.
WARNING: Winter hiking, like all outdoor activities, can be dangerous.
You must be properly equipped and know how to use an avalanche transceiver (ARVA/ABEAC).
