Monica and Carlotta, mother and daughter originally from Romagna, decide to set off to discover the Maira Valley in its winter guise. It is a region they do not yet know, but one that fascinates them because of an ancient tradition: that of the acciugai, the travelling anchovy sellers who, for centuries, connected the mountains and plains of Piedmont to the Mediterranean coast.
