Illustration contest “MESTIERI IN VIAGGIO” as part of the B.R.I.C.A. project funded by the PNRR

As part of the B.R.I.C.A. Cultural and Social Regeneration Project – Resilient Villages of Cultural and Environmental Innovation funded under the PNRR, the Municipality of Celle di Macra — lead municipality of the project funded within the PNRR– Bando Borghi (M1C3.Measure 2. Investment 2.1) — announces an illustration contest on the itinerant trades of the Maira Valley entitled “MESTIERI IN VIAGGIO”.

The theme of the contest is the enhancement and dissemination of the historical memory of the Maira Valley through the representation of itinerant trades that developed between the 18th and 20th centuries.

From the particular to the universal: starting from a historical and cultural heritage deeply rooted in the Maira Valley, the contest aims to enhance the territory through an open, inclusive, and contemporary perspective, capable of giving new life and new interpretations to themes related to memory, labor, and the identity of mountain communities.

The contest is open to a national and international audience aged 16 and over.

Works may be created using any technique, whether manual or digital. Works created with AI are not permitted.

Participation in the contest is free of charge.

There are two prizes: a Jury Prize worth €500 in cash and an Online Public Vote Prize worth €200 in cash.

Entries must be received by April 5, 2026.

Voting will take place online from April 20, 2026, until May 15, 2026.
