I REMEMBER THAT DAY WELL
On the evening of Saturday, July 11, 2026, the Fondazione Acceglio presents a theatrical performance to be held in Frere di Acceglio, Municipality of Acceglio (Upper Maira Valley), at the ALP brewery (contact: cell. +39 346 684 2712).
The Collettivo Teatrale Rocambole will perform a show titled “I REMEMBER THAT DAY WELL,” where sounds, moving images, and words from the Liberation struggle will create a scenic performance that blends genres, avoids rhetoric, and examines the present.
A scenic performance that will ask what remains of those days; a scenic performance that will ask what remains of the spirit of the Resistance.
On stage, an actress and a DJ, with a backdrop of archived cinematic images filmed during the Resistance in the Piedmontese mountains.
The performance features the first-person accounts of two twenty-year-olds in 1943, two partisans: a simple, sincere narrative without heroic emphasis. It also includes reflections from a twenty-year-old of today on the meaning of memory in the face of the tragedy of war.
Texts by Lele Odiardo and narration by Giorgia Fantino. Original music by Piratk; set design, video, and mixing by Enrico Tarò.
The evening will open with a brief presentation by Gianluca Seimandi of the Fondazione Acceglio.
