In Dronero, at 1300 masl, in the Maira valley.
It’s a partisan shelter, built by partisans who worked here during the resistance. It was inaugurated on June 2, 1970 and then managed as a “bivouac”.
From 2 June 2023 it is managed by Roberto. It is a restaurant offering Piedmontese and Occitan cuisine. It has 18 seats in a large room and a romantic room with double bed.
It’s a stop on the Occitan Trails before we get to Dronero.

Who are we?
We are the refuge Partigiano Detto Dalmastro. The refuge was built by partisan friends who fought here in the 20 months of resistance. The bivouac was inaugurated on June 2, 1970. From June 2, 2023 it is run by Roberto and Tillo, his dog. It’s a restaurant that offers Piedmontese and Occitan cuisine. It’s a stopover place with 18 beds in a large room and 2 seats in a romantic private room. The territory around the refuge tells of Justice, Freedom and Respect.
