What kind of place is this?

An event dedicated to Occitan toponymy to discover, in a fun and curious way, the origin and meaning of place names in the Occitan valleys and the Piedmontese valley floor.

Why is a town named a certain way? Where do names like quiot, prata, adrechi, obacchi, chabot, lauze and chapere come from? Through games, stories, and curiosities, participants will be able to learn to recognize the traces of the Occitan language and history still present in the territory.

The meeting is designed for children and teenagers from 8 to 14 years old, but it is also open to parents, grandparents, and all adults curious to share knowledge and memories, thus fostering dialogue between generations.

A snack for everyone will be provided at the end of the activity.
